Stony Brook Township is a township in Grant County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 164 at the 2000 census.
Stony Brook Township was organized in 1877, and took its name from the Stony Brook creek.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 34.7 square miles (89.8 km2), of which 32.8 square miles (85.1 km2) is land and 1.8 square miles (4.8 km2) (5.31%) is water.

Indigenous peoples have inhabited the Americas for thousands of years.
